Is public viewing available?

Public viewing resumes across all salerooms . Please note though certain temporary limitations will be in place to cover safety measures and extended monitoring for both the safety of our customers and staff, including the compulsory use of face masks during viewings; Catalogues will continue to be available online along with an increase number of lot photos;

Where do lots come from?

Lots originate from many sources including customer/retail returns, salvage, bankrupty, ex-display & repossessions; Via clients from high street retailers to Insolvency Practitioners & Receivers – NOTE: No lots at our auctions are sold as being new, working, complete or fit for any purpose. All lots are strictly Sold as Seen with No warranties or guarantees.

Are there additional charges?

Yes: All lots are subject to the addition of Buyers Premium (22%) then the further addition of VAT (unless otherwise stated) incurred on the total. Examples Below;

£100 bid on a lot with VAT: Y & 22% BP (eg. a laptop) = £146.40 invoice total

£100 bid on a lot with VAT: N & 22% BP (eg. a car) = £126.40 invoice total

Payment & Delivery FAQs

How can I pay for lots?

All auction lot payments must be made securely ONLINE by card or bank transfer. We will NOT be accepting any cash or card payments on-site.

Both the Cash Offices and Coffee lounges will remain closed at this time.

Do you deliver goods?

We are currently offering 4 types of auctions, 3 that are delivery only and 1 that is collection only. Details and charges of these auctions are listed below.

DPD PARCEL DELIVERY ONLY AUCTIONS – Once you win an item in an auction and go to pay your invoice, you will have the option to enter a delivery address. Our porters will shortly begin collating and packaging parcels for direct delivery. Once your package is with the courier (DPD) you should also receive tracking numbers direct to your supplied email address and mobile number.

PALLET DELIVERY ONLY AUCTIONS – Larger items (eg. appliances inc. fridges, washing machines) will be packed and prepared on pallets for direct delivery. When paying for your invoice you will have the option to enter a delivery address. Once with the courier you should also receive tracking numbers direct to your supplied email address and mobile number. Please note these are curb side deliveries.

TWO MAN LIFT DELIVERY – Some items in auction such as appliances, sofas, white goods etc are available for Two Man Lift for delivery to the room of your choice. If you win an item that is available by this delivery menthod then you will have the option to enter a delivery address. Please note that in person collection from salerooms is also avaliable with this type of auction.

COLLECTION AUCTIONS – Collection Only, in-person collection from our salerooms – NO DELIVERY CURRENTLY AVAILABLE ON THESE PARTICULAR AUCTIONS/LOTS – These lots must be collected directly from the salerooms by the bidder within a couple of working days of auctions ending – TO BOOK A COLLECTION TIME SLOT Please click on ‘My Invoices’ from the top menu then click on the red link relating to your PAID Invoice to direct you to the online booking service.

Vehicles FAQs

Condition of the Vehicles

All vehicles are strictly Sold As Seen. Lots can be physically assessed during viewing but carry no guarantees or warranties.

ATF Listed Vehicles

Bidding is open to trade and public but there are a fraction of lots listed as ‘ATF’ Vehicles, these particular vehicles can only be legally sold directly to Authorised Treatment Facilities and have no V5s.

Deposits & Payments

For vehicle auctions a £200 refundable deposit is required to secure bids, full payment and vehicle removals by the deadline. Deposits are not deducted from invoice totals but are refunded upon request by emailing deposits@johnpye.co.uk or can be left on the account for future bidding. Strict vehicle payment & removal deadline by 4pm the day after auction.

Collection & ID Requirements

Proof of ID – 2 x Forms of ID inc. 1 x Photo ID and a Utility Bill less that 3 months old are required prior to release of vehicles. Strict payment & removal deadline by 4pm the day after auction.

NOTE: Any vehicles purchased will be registered to the buyer’s name and address as registered on the account, vehicles cannot be put under other names.
